2025 WNL RULES

updated 4/3/25

MEMBERSHIP

  • Open to full, limited and Tuesday Night League golfers. Preference is given in that order.

  • League is made up of two-man teams

SEASON

  • The 2025 League will consist of one 16-week season played every Wednesday evening.

  • Season start on May 7th and finish regular season play on August 27th

  • There is a BYE week and there will be no league play on Wednesday, July 2nd.  Play will resume on Wednesday July 9th with our annual Theme Night and a 5pm shotgun start.

FORMAT

  • Format will be a modified 9 Hole TEAM QUOTA match. The quota is established according to your current handicap and adjusted weekly by the pro shop

  • If your partner does not show up, you must make 25% of his points in addition to yours

  • Players will play at 90% of their registered HC every week.

POINTS

  • Points: Eagle +8 points, Birdie +4 points, Par +2 points, Bogey +1 point

PLAYOFFS

  • The top 8 teams at the end of the 16 weeks will make playoffs.

  • If there is a tie for 8th then the additional team(s) will qualify for the playoffs.

  • After playoff week one only 4 teams will advance and after week 2 the 2 remaining teams will play for the championship.

  • Format of the playoffs will be standard Team Quota against the team in which you are seeded against. Seed 1 will play 8, 2 plays 7, 3 plays 6, 4 plays 5.  Seeding will also be done for the semi-finals.

  • Teams will no longer compete against the field in the playoffs, your seeded match outcome will determine whether you advance to the next round.

  • Example:

    • Seed 1 finishes -1 vs Seed 4 finishing +2

    • Seed 2 finishes -2 vs Seed 3 finishing -3

    • Old rules: Seed 4 @ +2 and Seed 1 @ -1 would advance since they have the two best scores in the field

    • New rules: Seed 4 defeats Seed 1 in their match and advances, Seed 2 defeats Seed 3 in their match and advances

PLAYOFF QUALIFICATIONS

  • Your team will qualify if you post 14 scores. If you post 15 or 16 scores, your worst one or two scores will be dropped, respectively.

  • Rainouts are not counted against you and will not be considered “worst score”.

PACE OF PLAY

  • Pace of play is of utmost importance. If you are out of the hole (double bogey) and your pace has slowed down, please pick up and move to the next tee.

  • If you or your partner are not ready at the time you are scheduled to tee off, your group must start play and the late player will join on your current hole when they arrive. Any holes missed during by a player will be counted as zero points. You are still required to make your full points for the round if you show up late.

PLAY TIMES

  • Teams will be grouped into Early, Middle and Late tee times

    • Early: 3:30 – 4:00 PM

    • Middle: 4:00 – 4:30 PM

    • Late: 4:30 – 5:45 PM

 SCORECARDS

  • All scorecards must be turned into the Pro Shop for scoring each week. Each player is responsible for posting their own scores using the USGA GHIN app or website

  • Scoring can be found on website and in locker rooms each week

CANCELLATION

  • Cancellation due to weather will be announced by the pro shop by 3:00PM via email or phone call.

RAINOUTS/RESCHEDULING OF MATCHES

  • In the event that we have rainouts, we will make every effort to schedule make-up dates and/or extend the season.

  • If there is inclement weather and the Pro Shop restricts the use of golf carts, this will be grounds for cancelling league play for the day.

DINING

  • Dining will be available after play each week and we encourage you to support the club. The after-match meal will apply to you monthly minimum, alcohol is excluded.

  • The Mid-season Theme Night, and Championship meal will be paid for with league funds.

INJURY / CONFLICTS

  • If a team that is currently in the league must take the season off due to injury, they are not guaranteed a spot back in the league the following season. They will be added to the top of the waitlist and admitted once there are spots available.

  • If a player gets injured during the first four weeks of the season and cannot play, a substitute player may be allowed to play and compete. This will be reviewed and decided upon on a case-by-case basis. All other injuries occurring later in the season will not be grounds for a substitute player to fill the spot and compete.

  • If you know there will be significant conflicts and need to drop from the league, you may do so up to week four and a substitute player may take your place for the remainder of the season. If this happens, the player that drops will not be allowed to play in the league for the remainder of the season. They can return the following season with their original partner. This will be reviewed and decided upon on a case-by-case basis.
